Hey everyone! Sorry for the late update, but I have had a lot of work to do this week, so sorry that I couldn't post right away. Last weekend, my study abroad program took us on an overnight trip to visit Granada, Spain. We left Friday morning and got back Saturday night. On the way to Granada, we stopped at El Torcal national park, which is a park that which has large calcium deposits and strange rock formations. They believe that billions of years ago, these formations were under water, which is the reason why there are so many calcium deposits. Below are a few pictures of the park:

This is a picture of the city streets around El Torcal...very narrow. After visiting El Torcal, we made our way to Granada. We first looked at the Royal Chapel and Cathedral, where Fernando and Isabel, the first king and queen of Spain, are buried. You couldn't take pictures in there, but they were both beautiful.
The following morning, we went to the Alhambra, the most visited Arabic military castle in Spain. Spain was invaded by the Muslims, so there it is a lot of Arabic and Muslim heritage in Spain, but it is more prominent in Andalusia, or southern Spain.
